CBC Hamilton ― 'Ring leader' of Locke Street vandals gets jail time as 5 plead guilty

A group of people who were part of a vandalism spree on Locke Street in March have pleaded guilty for their roles in the flurry of mischief.

Local anarchist and [transvestite] activist Cedar Hopperton (also known as 'Peter Hopperton') pleaded guilty before the Ontario Court of Justice in Hamilton Thursday morning to one count of mischief over $5,000 and one count of counseling to commit mischief.

Following a joint submission by his lawyer and the Crown, Hopperton was sentenced to a year in custody, less four months for time served, which will be followed by a year of probation.

"See you all soon, take care of each other," said the 31-year-old on the way out of the courtroom.

"Love you," responded supporters.

Hopperton was described in court as the "ring leader" of a crowd of masked group of 15-40 people who pelted buildings and vehicles with eggs and rocks and had earlier in the day invited people to attend a "militant and confrontational march."

According the Crown and a victim impact statement read in court, the crowd was interpreted by those in the neighbourhood as a violent mob that left people afraid and shaken.

Tammy Kovich, who the court heard handed out flyers advertising the demonstration, pleaded guilty to one count of mischief over $5,000. She was given a nine-month conditional sentence which will be broken down into three month chunks made up of house arrest, curfew and terms, along with 12 months of probation.

Matthew Lowell-Pelletier and David Prychitka also pleaded guilty to mischief over $5,000. They were sentenced to 18 months probation and 100 hours of community service.

A fifth participant, Tyler Nadeau, pleaded guilty to two counts of mischief over $5,000 but was not sentenced Thursday. A pre-sentence report has been requested and he'll be back before the court for sentencing on Feb. 5, 2018.

Barred from Locke Street

Conditions for all of the accused include being barred from the section of Locke Street South between Main Street and Aberdeen Avenue. They're also not allowed to participate or organize any sort of protest unless it remains peaceful.

Defence lawyers for the accused and the Crown clashed over whether or not an order to provide DNA be part of sentencing, with the defence lawyers arguing it amounted to an unnecessary invasion of privacy.

In the end, Justice Joe Fiorucci ruled only Hopperton would have to provide DNA, referencing the fact the Hamilton resident was previously arrested during the G20 protests in 2010 and pleaded guilty to one count of counselling mischief.

Hopperton was also ordered to pay $1,500 in restitution to the victims, while the other three will have to pay $1,000 each.

'Because F--k the Rich'

Hopperton was the organizer and promoter behind an anarchist bookfair held at Westdale Secondary School over the weekend of March 3-4 2018, according to an agreed statement of facts read in court.

The statement says that during the book fair, and later that day, Hopperton and Kovich handed out a flyer titled 'Because F--k the Rich" that stated "Hamilton has been beset upon by a plague of gentrifying yuppies. Let's show those f--ks what we think of them" and advised of "... a militant and confrontational march, [so] dress appropriately."

The flyer included a map of Durand Park.

Court heard police were called to the park around 9:34 p.m. after reports of a large group of people who were spray painting public property. After officers arrived, members of the group, including some who had brought stereo equipment, cartons of eggs and fireworks, started to break away.

The statement of facts says police tried to speak with the group, but members left the park and headed up Bay Street and blocked. Hopperton then told the group to "mask up" and people started picking up bricks and other projectiles.

Kovich and Prychitka were among those firing off fireworks, according to the statement.

Members of the group, including Lowell-Pelletier, were carrying a large, black banner with the words "WE ARE THE UNGOVERNABLE."

As the group headed along Aberdeen Avenue and turned onto Locke Street, the statement says Nadeau vandalized vehicles and threw a rock through a window at Donut Monster, leading others to shatter the shop's remaining windows.

He also hurled rocks through the windows of Bitten Cupcakes, "directed" others by picking targets and told people where they could find rocks and other projectiles, according to the statement.

Once enough police arrived to take on the crowd, its members fled, "shedding layers of clothing in an effort to evade police."

'Mischief with a message'

"This was mischief with a message," Crown Gordon Akilie said in court.

Their message was, 'Be afraid, we are ungovernable, you can't stop us, in fact you won't find us.'

Akilie said "This was an attack on the rule of law, an affront to citizen's ability to feel safe."

But the defence lawyers for the accused, including Craig Bottomley who represented Hopperton, argued they were motivated by social justice and characterized the incident as an attack on property, not people.

Bottomley also described the vandalism as a "political expression" that crossed into [domestic terrorism].

While reading his decision, Fiorucci referenced a victim impact statement from Tony Greco, chair of the Locke Street BIA.

It described the neighbourhood as "inclusive and welcoming" and said the spree of vandalism by what Greco called a "mob" had created fear in the community.

Antifa and Their Need for Media Attention

So, who is ARC and how did we learn his identity? He had a twitter feed account which was open for all to see. That's were we started. A quick IP search from there quickly discovered that he was from the Calgary Alberta area. Now, it was simply a case of watching his feed. Sometimes, the things you find, are not found when you're looking for them, but rather, little bits of otherwise useless information do paint a decent picture. For example:

This on its own means nothing, its useless as information on its own, however, this does at the very least, start to paint a picture.

Oil Patch worker, bouncer .... anything else ?

Hmmm, seems to be OK with election fraud.

Here he tell us how old he is. We also knew he liked to travel to exotic locations, and in fact over the past year, he went to one such place for a few weeks.

So the picture painted here, is of a middle age male, in fairly decent shape based on his past oil field work experience and, as a bouncer. OK, we have his ID narrowed down to about 250,000 men in Calgary. He was at times referred to as Chris in conversations, and this "name" was also used in a now famously unfortunate CBC interview. But, like any other story written by him, the facts are not always as they appear, for "Chris " was NOT his name at all.

A more exhaustive search was started about seven months ago, going through court records. Why? because it was thought that with what he has written in the past, someone may have taken legal action against him. THAT proved to be a dead end because we found no evidence of legal action against him per se, however, we DID find his name in an unrelated court document from a case totally unrelated . We sat on this information for several months , looking for and collecting evidence to support our new found claim. We had photographs of him but we also knew that he was cunning and these photographs too can be misdirection. His "Chris Smith" persona was exactly that, even using a different image to throw people off. Then came the big break through .... thanks to the CBC. They aired this documentary and it was game over for "Chris" The CBC tried, very poorly it seems , to blur our his face . But , they left it clear enough to get a decent working image, plus, unblurred close ups clearly confirmed it WAS HIM .... NO MISTAKE. So, no "Chris Smith" as he was referred to in that CBC interview, but instead he turned out to be:

... KURT PHILIPS, a school teacher. One must wonder what he was teaching his students. Personally speaking, I suspect that he kept his anarchist / antifa life, separate from his professional teaching life. Although now outed, I must also wonder if now talks about his double life with his students. Philips, now identified, has outlived his virtual usefulness, had no other option than to not only release this statement to do as much damage control as possible:

This is were I introduce you to Evan Balgord .

So who is Evan Balgord and why is his name an important part of this story ? Great question . Why did I pick THESE three to link together ? Well, THEY linked themselves together long ago, hence the reason I picked these three .

Evan Balgord is not who he appears to be. Balgord is a very well connected player in the Antifa movement, but not as an "on the ground anarchist who wants to smash things. Evan started his "career" working the Mayor of Toronto, John Tory.

He was also the " security " for Kevin Metcalf. Security? Yes, but not in the traditional sense. Balgord would go with metcsalf to the same events, and while Metcalf was photographing events , many times with the intended purpose of instigating an altercation, Balgord would be there solely to document Metcalf and his alleged assaults against him ... alleged because no one ever did assault him. Metclaf did this to try and lay criminal charged against to opposing side and then he would try and sue them, using Balgords photographs as "proof ". Here are a few other images of Balgord:

So far we see the connection between Balgord and Metcalf. Balgord went to work for the Anti Hate network, an organization , built around the SPLS ( southern poverty law society ) , where low and behold, he is the " executive director . In his position , many suspect that he is one who , from behind his proverbial desk, watches potential planned actions of certain groups, organizes counter protests and then sits back and watches as his plans come to fruition. Then once he has what he needs to begin his task of falsely vilifying innocent people, he then communicated that with Kurt Philips.

Once Philips was outed as the man behind ARC, he was essentially a useless entity , as his whole role was predicated by anonymity. So, now that he was useless to ARC, but still a valuable source of information, He was quickly scooped up by Anti Hate Canada:

How And Where Antifa Organize, And How They Are Funded

In this article, I will explain to everyone how they organize and where , and how they are funded... and you will be surprised ( or not ) as to where some of their money comes from. Antifa is not like a corporation with head offices , board of directors , shareholders and retail outlets. They are a domestic terrorist organization that wants to force you into believing their radical ideology where your rights are non-existent, and their rights, wants, desires and actions would be the rule of "law". Antifa is not a single based, single focused organization. Rather, they employ various methods, means and messages to terrorize the public.

OCAP , the Ontario Coalition Against Poverty is one of these branches, which uses the sanctuary of a church to spread their influence.

This organization specializes in exploiting the poor and homeless into violently acting out against companies and people who may be wealthy , blaming these wealthy people and companies for the misfortunes of others .

Another organization called the "War Resisters", an organization that claims to be opposed to wars, but is a front for islamic terrorism support, is also, you guessed it, housed in a church.

Why are churches a favourite place for these organizations to hide in? It has long been believed, and sadly true that police or other national security and law enforcement agencies still consider these churches to be sanctuaries and don't raid them. Hence it is also very likely that church hideouts like these, harbour illegal aliens knowing that they will not get raided.

Unions play key roles in the support, and even in the enacting of domestic terrorist actions. These unions such as UNIFOR, CUPE, and the Steelworkers Union are some of the most radical ones around. They provide the "muscle" through the thugs they employ, to these Antifa terrorists. Barry Conway, a known Antifa thug is one of these union goons.

Hamilton labour leader faces trial next month on charge of assaulting anti-Pride protester

In the union hall depicted below, they even held, about a year ago, a memorial even for one of Canada's worst and most dangerous Antifa thugs. This is the United Steel Workers union hall on Cecil street in Toronto. 

Most, in fact , the vast majority of actual paying union members very likely have no idea as to what, and where their unions dues are going, and what they are actually being used for.

So far, we have seen example of churches and union halls being used as facilities to manufacture hate and , create division and conflict . However, the universities are another major location that create these exact scenarios. OISE and student union offices are other major player, in this creation and manufacturing of hate and division. However, it must be noted that it is primarily student unions that are directly connected to the ultra radical CANADIAN FEDERATION OF STUDENTS ( CFS ) which are mostly responsible for this. The CFS takes in millions of dollars a year , by FORCING students to be members. The CFS in turn provides some funding to like minded organization they feel match their objectives and goals .

Another very active location where Antifa organize is a place called "Friends House", on Lowther Ave. This is where they will hold seminars on everything from planning actions , to de-arresting people, to, well anything Antifa / Anarchist related. Notice as well, the CHURCH connection:

There are many very dangerous such organizations around, and many want space to organize but they are lacking the funds for their own spaces. NO PROBLEM, there is always 720 Spadina Road:

720 Spadina Road is one of most used spaces for the most radical of the Antifa crowd. This is were the recent Toronto anarchist book fair was held, is home to UNIFOR, the most radical and violent of the major unions, is home to no one is illegal and other pro-illegal alien groups. This is one of the major main stays of Antifa. I will get into more detail about the radical groups within this building, and others in upcoming articles .

Hamilton Ontario is known as one of worst and most violent branches of Antifa . It appears that they want to be as bad ass as their Montreal co-criminals, and sadly , they may just be getting that exact reputation. They have been involved in arsons , vandalism , and now, domestic terrorism with the sabotaging of rail lines. This is were they organize:

Now for the worst of the worst . This facility , yes, another church, is one of the most vile and potentially dangerous organizing facilities in Ontario, if not Canada. 

This is St Stevens in the Fields Church in Toronto's Kensington Market Area. Just about every major radical action that Antifa does , or has participated in has been organized from within the walls of this church .

This church is run by two high profile anarchist priests named Maggie Helwing

They organize every imaginable type of Antifa action, from how to violently de-arrest  criminals:

... to how to fight police , to illegal blockades ... you name it, it is done here . This is the same church that hosted a memorial event for well established and one of the most dangerous and violent anarchists in Canada.

These two are almost always seen together , while not violent themselves, they have zero issue with violence their  " flock " inflict upon others , have zero issue with property damage their " flock " cause . These churches appear to get free passes on creating dangerous situations  and planning dangerous events because police and our security services feel that churches are so called " off limits " to investigation and scrutiny. And herein lays the problem.

I have a very great deal of respect for our police and security service agencies , but it appears that when it comes in actually investigating such groups, police and security services seemingly think that they can simply send a potential undercover officer inside two, maybe three weeks ahead of a planned dangerous event and voila, they will have the "keys to the vault " so to speak on these organizations and how they operate. At best , the way they operate now , they will get a few names , likely ones they already have , maybe a few bits and pieces on planned actions , but nothing concrete, nothing long lasting. The problem is that they are not either willing, or prepared to invest the time to really go after these group beyond the most currant action. They look at the immediate picture but overlook the big picture . This may not be their fault entirely because yes, good detective works does cost money , takes a very long time and is risky . Police departments are under more and more scrutiny from the public , from within their own department and from prying and meddling city politicians more concerned about creating safe drug injection site than actually stopping crimes. Optics are what seems to drive police now.

HOW CAN WE GET MORE INFO ON THERE TERRORISTS

I would dedicate several unknown , fairly young plain cloths officers ( or agents ) for a LONG TERM infiltration program . This could mean an assignment of several years . If you want to know about these terrorist organizations, you need to be committed for the long term . These " officers or agents " would wear the clothing, listen to the music ( and understand it ) show an interest but NOT ask questions right up front. This is what gets them caught every single time. Don't try and approach the leaders right away, that's a dead give away. Don't try and buy your way in by buying these new contacts things ... again, dead give away. It takes months, sometimes years to gain the trust of the leaders, which is very important, but rushing this will only make it harder, if not impossible to learn anything... because once they stop trusting you, you're done.

Often times, the police will send in a team of two officers to infiltrate an organization . This is of course for the protection of the officers , I get that , but it is also important to show, to the targeted group or people, that these officers " are not cops ", by having arrive at separate time , and not together. It should appear as they don't know each other. Two new people coming in, at the same time, yup, dead give away. These groups will follow them. Leaving trails that lead to coffee shops and / or higher end places is again a dead give away. Things like "losing one cell phone" with well in advance, with a long history of pre-planned numbers called and pre planned text message that show an interest in radical actions and behaviour are important to gain trust and add credibility to their story later. These officers should be university aged to best fit in with their newly targeted crowd.

HOW ARE THEY FUNDED?

So, how are the anarchists and Antifa funded ? First let;s get this out of the way .... to say that people like George Soros are handing out cheques  to each and every Antifa protester is idiotic . Money is paid to the various NGO's that these Antifa support , yes, but in reality only the TOP LEADERS get any of that money personally, but NOT directly from them. We have seen in the past, where protests have been organized and advertised , where they advertise to pay individual protesters a sun of money to be out there for a specific event.

Here is one example of proof showing people getting promise of payment to protest. There was a planned protest in Toronto very recently that got canceled , where each protesters was promised $20.00 to attend / participate but that event got canceled and moved to a future date.

However, this is only a small part of this story. The real money here, going to specific organizations, comes from YOU, yes, YOU. YOU pay taxes to the city , who then take some of those funds and divide them up to sitting city politicians . These are called OFFICE BUDGETS. The more radical of these politicians then donate a set amount ( individually determined ) to give to thee radical organizations. You will recall that I mentioned OCAP a little further above . This is one of those organizations that gets money this way . Another very popular funding source for these radical groups come from unions . YOUR union dues help pay these dangerous organizations financially. Yes , of course these organizations do get money from various other sources such as the TIDES foundation , the  SUZUKI foundation , the CLINTON  foundation, yes, SOROS , and yes, other government agencies .

One of the best example of how radical groups get funded took place in Toronto during the Occupy Toronto movement. The cash , actual cash that flowed into there was astounding . There was one particular case  where the union case the movement $40,000.00 in cash . Well , just as fast as that cash was delivered, it disappeared , never to be seen again. The TOP TIER leaders of Occupy Toronto, many of whom are also the top tier leader of the Antifa movement today got paid very well .... $2000.00 per week plus iphones , plus mac laptops , plus a free trip anywhere in the world they chose to go afterwards , and during the occupy movement ,  they were housed in top of the line luxury hotel suites .... by the unions. The vast majority of the occupiers got nothing, as expected of course. Occupy Toronto was an anarchist based movement ( those anarchists are now rebranded as Antifa )  The leaders showed up ,making grand self important speeches in designer cloths reminding us all of how they hate the rich, while wearing $500.00 jeans, $1000.00 coats, Rolex watches and dining on caviar at night, telling us about the pitfalls of excess. Their sense of self importance was a grand show onto itself.
